Have you tried http://www.kovels.com? Or you could do a search on eBay, you can often fine things like that and get an idea of what something is worth.

try going to your local libaray, You need to check in books pertaing to antique glass ware. With the stamp on the dish you should be able to find the co. that made it and a price for them.
ask your libarian for the correct section.

I would ask the Community at "I Antique Online" http://www.iantiqueonline.com
They have over 1750 members who buy, sell or collect antiques and art. You will get more specialized feedback this way.

Check on www.replacements.com. They are the biggest buyer and seller of china and tableware in the US. If they are older than the inventory on their site and truly antique, you can use www.kovels.com. But in either case you need to know the manufacturer by looking on the bottom of a piece and locate the hallmark.

Noritake certainly does have a value, but as a lot of it was made, just like other ranges of china, it's probably not a lot. The previous answer was correct - take it to your local auctioneer for an appraisal. Discontinued patterns of any range of china are often bought and sold by companies who supply people with replacements for pieces they have broken.

I see you re-posted this, guess you don't believe me that just because they are 50 or 60 years old, that dose not make them valuable. Try calling an antique dealer and ask them this question and be sure to tell them of all the damage you described here. If they have any value a dealer will know what this value is. That's what they do for a living.
Good Luck.

If it says 'made in Japan' then it won't have been made before 1891, and will be tourist, or export ware, and there will be thousands like it.
